Carol Stuart – Director of Choir Ministry -

Our Director of Choir Ministry Carol Stuart needs no introduction to our community of faith! She has been a member of KNOX for 22 years, faithfully serving with her musical talent at the piano, co-directing the bell choir and participating with our praise team and choir. When KNOX first began to discuss ways of beginning a search for our new Director of Choir Ministry, Carol volunteered to serve until we determined how we would proceed. As we watched her interact with both choir members and congregation it quickly became apparent that God was leading us to begin our search “in-house.”

Carol is also using her gifts in our community, as Choir Director for “The Joyettes”—a senior citizen’s women’s choir—that performs all over the city at both retirement homes and day care centers for the elderly. This appropriately named “Project Joy” is sponsored by the Spokane Parks and Recreation Department.

Carol has deepening love for choir music. She believes well-written sacred music often articulates deeply held personal feelings that helps give “wings to words.” Carol hopes that our congregation will sense this presence of the Holy Spirit and listen with our hearts, as the choir brings us to a deep place in worship.

Hello everybody. I am Eric Colby, the Junior and Senior High Youth Coordinator at Knox. Hurray! A little about me:

Just recently I graduated from Whitworth College with a degree in Religion and a Certificate for Ministry.
I like to ride my bike places.
My favorite color is green.

It has been a wonderful blessing to be growing in faith with our youth, here in the church and in our neighborhood. At Knox we value relationships very highly – relationships with each other and with God. For this reason among others
I am stoked to be a part of the fellowship of missional believers here in our congregation.
